As we age, our energy begins to decrease, our vulnerability to illness increases. Skin tends to lose elasticity, hair to become fine, bodies to gain fat and lose muscles. We also become prone to arthritis, diabetes, memory loss, and cardiac problems. Aging is inevitable, but healthy food choices and active habits can help us extend our lives, and make us feel and look much younger.

These interactive workshops are the entrance to the world of understanding how our body works and what it need. The philosophy of the workshops is that the body is our life engine of synthesis and we must understand how it functions in order to maintain it, keep it running efficiently and be prepared to repair if need be. We set out to understand the food and nutritional concepts though understanding the body first, its internal functions, and structures. What fuel they require and why, to assist us stay younger and to live healthier and longer. The processes within our body are explored as well as the impact of certain foods we eat. Interactive character of the workshops encourages participants to actively take part examining own lifestyle and nutritional habits. It is an opportunity to set out the changes we wish to make and discover the Food Tools to make it real. Nutrition is made simplein these series of Food Literacy workshops. All levels of participants are welcome to join. Given the cyclical nature of the workshops you can incorporate any months.

The aim of the workshops is to improve the quality of life and longevity and to disseminate knowledge of how nutrition can slow down aging and maintain us rejuvenated and regenerated. Age can be “managed” from a different prospective though enhancing our life with healing food! This is our chance to explore new approaches to health and nutrition to benefit us. About Khelga Coopper

Khelga CoopperKhelga has been involved in the anti-aging field since the 1997, having initially becoming interested in the effects of aging on the human body after reading the Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw book “Life Extension” and when she helped to care for the elderly in nursing home who suffered from age related degenerative diseases. She also wondered why people became sick as they aged and noticed that many people in their old age were highly energetic and healthy. It is with this in mind that she went ahead in search of her quest in prevention of disease and aging.

Her own digestive discomforts led her to practice, research and discover first- hand the practice of well-being and longevity nutrition. She continuously researches on the subject of preventive therapies. Her research interests include the Role of Oxidative Stress in Aging, Neurodegenerative disorders and Nutritional antioxidants. She has special interest in new approaches to health and nutrition.

Khelga attended anti-aging conferences and closely follows American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, European Academy of Quality of Life and Longevity Medicine and British Longevity Society. Currently she is involved in case studies and research assignments related to Young Living as part of her passion for the field of gerontology and her studies in INTESA to qualify as Nutritional therapist this year.
